yes i agree many of the ridiculous increases in gold could be cheaters, but to be honest, there is an entire forum dedicated to cheaters. some of the people in that forum look like they do nothing but find cheaters, so this would give them more to do, and honestly they really dont even need to do big price jump scam because we barely punish cheaters anyways.
but to take a look at it a different way, i still think it would be wrong to do it just so we can stop cheaters, it seems cheaters just straight up transfer gold to each other WAY more then they go through the trouble of using the market. so why not get rid of transferring to each other all together, only sell and buy through factories. if we actually tried to punish the cheaters we catch on a regular basis then it the amount of cheating would decrease very fast. i feel like i want to start cheating just because it is so easy, i wouldnt even be scared to open up a thread where i say, congrats to me i just transfered over 10000 gold to myself in 2 days and im still going because i have a feeling i would get away with it. (im just making a point)
it just seems silly to hinder the market because we (or who ever is in control) is to lazy just to crack down on the actual problem. (one last analogoy) it would be like putting a restriction on all cars so they can never go above 70 mph or 100kph even if they wanted too just because we are to lazy to try and catch speeders. |
