Clan #310 - Followers of The Phoenix has been given the go ahead to hold a Two Towers card tournament. For any moderators who are considering closing this, I am able to forward you a copy of the message, please flick me a PM and I will send it to you.
The tournament is only open to clan members, however we will be offering the clan joining fee as 500 for the registration period for those interested in joining the card tournament. The details will follow in the next couple of posts.

Conditions of entry:
1. The minimum amount of competitors that are to participate in this tournament is 20.
If we can not get more than 20 members to join, all members that have paid will receive a complete refund and the tournament cancelled.
2. The maximum amount of competitors that are to participate in this tournament is 75.
It will be first in first serve. Any one wishing to be a competitor and has paid only to find the tournament is full, will receive a complete refund of their money.
3. All members must start off as a member of clan #310, and remain a member throughout the duration of the tournament.
Any competitor that leaves the clan during the tournament will forfeit their entry fee, and any points they gain.
4. The entry fee for all current members is 1000 gold. For any member wishing to join the clan and the card tournament at the same time, it will cost you 1500. (500 for the clan's entry fee.)
The entry fee can be paid to Dizbe, and will be put in the clans account until prizes are to be dispersed.
5. Any Complaints, disputes, reports of cheaters throughout the duration of the tournament period and up until 10 days after the tournament, can be discussed with Dizbe, and may be reported to Administration if found to be guilty.
6. By paying the entry fee, you are officially a part of the tournament and MUST abide by the rules at all times.
Anyone found to be breaking the rules severely, can be removed from the tournament, with no refund paid.
No decision is final and you wish to argue the case, you can contact Dizbe.
7. Members must also abide by the clan rules. You can and WILL be removed from the clan if you are found to be cheating or breaking any rules.
This will effectively end your participation in the tournament.

Rules:
All competitors will abide by these rules at all time.
Each competitor is trying to gain points by playing the "Two towers" card game and move up the ladder to take the top spot.
1. Each competitor can play as many card games as they want throughout the tourney, however only the games against Clan #310 members will count towards points.
1.1 The maximum amount of games that each player is eligible to count for points in the tournament is 100.
Only the first 100 scores will count, any after that, win OR lose, will be disregarded.
1.2 The maximum amount of games you can play against another competitor is TEN. This is to make things fairer, and get you meeting more of your clan mates!
2. Each card game will gain you points. The points are as follows...
Each game won against a member of FOTP will earn you 3 points.
Each game lost against a member of FOTP will lose you 1 point.
Each game played against a non-member will neither earn nor lose you points.
2.1 A game that is won by a time-out is only worth 1 point, while the opponent who timed out will lose 3 points.
2.2 The maximum amount of points you can gain is 300. The least amount of points you can have is -300.
3. Dizbe will be doing the calculating of the scores, and if he does make a mistake, the contestants will have 24 hours to have him RECOUNT their scores, (If needed), before the final decision is made.
You will have to pay 100 gold to get your scores recounted. This is to ensure that not everyone sends their scores to be recounted just for the sake of being recounted.
IF I have been found to have made a mistake, then you will receive your 100 gold back, and their points adjusted.
If any member pays 100 and there is no mistake, the money made from their submissions will be added to the prize pot.
4. By accepting your prize money, Admin reserve the right to penalise you and remove your prize money if you are found to have cheated at any time throughout the tournament.
4.1 Random samples of competitors chat logs will be taken to ensure no cheating has ensued.
4.1.1 The prize winners will have an extensive search of ALL their chat logs before they can receive their prizes
4.2 if you find evidence of a competitor having cheated; it is your DUTY to ensure you report them to Dizbe.
5. It is up to the players to decide beforehand where they wish to conduct their card match, (Location) and whether or not they wish to bet a stake on it.

Time Frame and Prizes.
Registration period is 5 days long. 22-27th July.
Playing period will run for 7 days from 28th July – 3rd August.
Up to 5 days of point count up time. 4th -9th August.
The last 24 hours following that 5 day period will be recount time, if needed.
All prizes will be dispersed in the following day or two.
I am getting close to exam time right now so the time-frame might be off by a bit and is subject to changes.
Prizes,
First Place: First place will receive,
•50% of the total entry fees.

•A customized Avatar, Paid for by the clan.
•A discount from our clan smith, Dionysus, 20% off his repair durability, for as long as you are a Clan Member.
Second Place: Second place will receive,
•25% of the total entry fees.

•12.5% of the total entry fees. |

I will get around to tourney administration ONCE a day. So please do not send me more then one private message. Any questions can be asked here and I will do my best to answer them when I am next on. Remember it IS first in first served. The number of competitors registered and WHO is registered will be updated here AND on the clan website DAILY. So we can smooth out any problems or bumps.

One question still looms large in my mind, with this regard...
Why would the members of FOTP, even.. join the matches of non-members if they don't earn points at all? ,not to say that non-members cann't earn points themselves. ^^ (also given the fact that there can only be 10 matches per person)
the primary purpose of joining and playing in a tourney is to win prizes and people cann't win prizes until they earn points. (??)
So, can anyone(most prolly, the host) explain the reason,that wud keep the non-members playing in this?

The aim of this tournament is to get clan members playing with other clan members. They can play up to 100 matches. However only 10 per opponent. (Get to know more people :) ....

Not sure quite what you meant here. Non-members cannot gain points. Each game played against a non-member will neither earn nor lose you points.
That line is merely there to tell the members that whilst they may be playing in the card tourney they may be playing other "non-members" at the same time and therefore need to know that those games against Non-members will not be counted.
Let me make it clear. You must be a member of the clan to participate. Non-members do not participate at all. Hope that cleared it up... If you have any further questions feel free to ask them. |

Today is the final day for game play. Any games that are played after 00:00 On the fourth will not be counted. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Counting stage, which will run for UP TO 5 days. Dependent on how fast I can go through everyone's game logs.
Make sure you get as many games as you think necessary for you to get a placing done today.
