hello all.
i had one of my threads closed, for a rule which was inside of another, nonsticky thread.
i suggest: all forum rules should be sticky in the same thread!

If you want people to understand your point then you should provide more information. What thread was closed? What rule was broken? where was it posted?
Otherwise this thread just makes no sense. |

Rule was not inside of another topic. It is forbidden to create topics that already exist. Use search function instead. They didnt BAN you, they just closed your topic and sent you the link to the old one. No harm done. Rules are pretty clear here about forum use.
This is 3rd topic about the same affair. Creating topics about closed ones over and over is a little against the rules too. :-) |

well, this may be right by the rule - but de facto it doesnt work like that.
we have almost each day a new topic about dragon attacks at ridge of hope - none of them gets closed. but trie to write something about .ru... oh buddie!
i never understood why this is such a provokation... but it is! |

My mistake. The topic was not locked for breaking any rule I am aware of. But creating the second one to continue this was against the rules(I think) |

was the only reason why the thread was shut down.
and that post which was closed - yes now i see a similar thread was somewhere in the later pages. i do not feel guilty for this! a few aspects of my thread were new anyway. so its still questionable and i consider it as a bit harsh to just close it with no comment.

from my point of view its still a hidden rule which should either be returned or put to the other rules where it belongs.
there is stil something fishy about it why do i feel like it's just a topic the "administration" don't want us to discuss? if that's true it's their fault they don't give us any answers, how do they expect people to stop wondering? sadly i guess mods are some volunteers who do this for fun and have no clue why things are the way they are so i don't really blame them for misjudging on my thread but still i kinda feel like it wasn't rightteous to close the thread ok =)

IMO it's more like 'damage control' our dutiful moderators are doing.
The players and the moderators KNOW this server is un-updated and will most likely stay like that for a long time. NOBODY, even the moderators, have ANY idea what is TRUELY going on. Those who claim they know something and change is somewhat coming, can NOT officially back it up. Becaue the admins somehow can not post (or have an English mediator or use an online translator... LOLz I say) to inform the .COM players.
So far its working. But its only a matter of time, the general population get frustrated enough and hell will break loose.
Until then I suggest they use their moderator 'power' wisely and have the COURTESY to explain why they think a thread or someone should be blocked... (hehehe power corrupts and even YOU MODERATORS are not above this dark human nature). You would not want to go against an angry, frustrated AND repressed mob.
Not that what I say matters in this un-updated server... |
