can anyone explain why elves with 5 or 6 initiative can attack faster than me although i got initiative like 7 or 8?

| Elves begin the game with a +3% initiative. not to mention if they have increased their troops initiative. Add the player's racial bonus, items, and thief (if relevant). |

at the start of combat its random placement up to +10% initiative. so you can get +0 and the enemies can get +10%.
it can be each combination (up to 10% for both) so sometimes you will also strike first... |
