OK, so here it goes:
You dont need to have the magic guild level 1 to use talent rain of arrows. All you need is the talent and Avengers guild with favourite enemies set. There is a book on the right bottom corner.

Few more things for you: Enroll more, when you have money, you can buy nice things like druids, sprites, magic guild and potion of oblivion(to change primary attributes)
Steel blade is little stronger than wooden for similar price. If you go for the cheapest sollution, try light axe + defender shield.
Also you can try basic fortune as a talent for some battles. |
