We are proud to announce our new GB Tournament clan! We invite all GBers 8th level and above to join us for organized games and plenty of practice GBs. If you love GB or would like to learn how, contact our recruiters for an invite. We charge the minimum amount of 500 gold and there will be no tax. Our goal is to gather all GB lovers in one place to easily stage fights from our private chat channel.We will keep clan records plus individual records. First clan tournament is already under way! |
| We are up to 129 members in our clan and are holding our first tournament. Come and join us as we are perfecting the tournament system and will be holding another right after the current one is finished. All players are welcome 8th level and above. The current tournament ends next Friday at midnight. |
| Our first tournament has ended and we begin number two. All clans and players above 8th level are welcome to join us for the current tournament. It is a two week event running 24 hours a day. We use our chat channel and clan mail to set up matches and it has worked well. Players from all clans fight together on the same teams and score points for their clans and as individuals. There are multiple battle clans participating for those players wanting to join one. It's a perfect opportunity to show us your stuff and get on a roster for the coming wars. Join us for some fun and get to know the players in the community who love group battles. |

imo, every player regardless of his/her clan affiliation should have the opportunity to join our gathering of gb hungry players. one player of each represented clan should at least have one of the mentioned positions, whereas it can be discussed if a 2 members clan really need that representative( they could also join other clans so discussion wouldn't be necessary).
one recruiter per clan is ok because I think that every application goes by the person who knows at least something of the player and whether he could do good to the clan and his spirit.
relating to levels I can only say,the more players we are the better the chances are for a low level player to find a somehow fair gb to participate in. |

This is correct and already established as we want as many GBers as possible to come out and share in the fun.
I think a clan of 25 or more should get consideration for representation. We do need to protect our home page because of how we show scoring. Vandalism could do much harm so we must be careful. Maybe a probation perdiod to see if the clan in question participates and stays active? Then after that period they can select their rep. I dont see the need for any more than a herald position needed at this point. My two cents. |
#529 GB Tournament clan was formed, as far as I know, as a way to easily organize group battles between members of various other clans. These games were then recorded for unofficial tournaments as a way to have fun and encourage battles against each other. Correct me if I am wrong.
Many other clans have as one of there goals a place for people to create battles where its members will follow the same rules, such as AP restrictions, fair groupings, and the like.
#529 GB Tournament should be open to anyone who loves to do group battles. And I see no reason why every clan cant have a herald. But I really dont see why every clan needs to have a recruiter or a chronicler. Because of the ability to evict members and to change text on the clan page those posts should be limited. Even if only half of the clans, or less, represented in #529 have recruiters and chroniclers it should not be difficult or take long to join or have info deemed relevant posted on the clan info page.
Exceptions can be made, such as if a small clan has large participation in gb's and it is there turn to host a tournament then a chronicler could be assigned.
This might be a little bit off point but, here is an idea. We are ranked in divisions, such as light weight, middle weight, and heavy weight. These are based on points earned via tournament games. Thus if a clan with only 10 or less representatives participate in a lot of tournament games it is possible for them to be in a higher division than a clan with 20 or more members that participate in very little tournament games. After all this clan was formed to encourage group battles. |
I agree with the current setup, but say if a clan of a smaller size would like to be represented, they should not be ignored. But in the case the said clan is just too small to be given a prominent role (such as representatives as Herald), I suggest these smaller clans which would like to be represented be grouped into a smaller establishment.
For example, if a clan has a small number of players in the GB Tournament Clan, then allowing posts such as Herald/Chronicler would be a little problematic as the numbers of posts holders would be enormous if more small clans join. I propose that a single representative from these smaller clans be chosen so as to be a voice among them.
This is however only my opinion. The set number of players to be counted as a small clan or not depends solely on the current members of #529.

Opinion:
Any clan with 5+ members who wants to, should have a person holding all posts.
In case anyone is stupid enough to abuse this right, aka evict for fun, will get a nice ban and I am 100% sure arctic will guarantee it will be long enough ;-)
For clans with 2-3 members they could ask 2-3 more of there mates to join and get the rights. |
