I have been tracking my rewards for quite awhile, since going over 40 quests with no reward. I list it on my character page. Here's my current standings:
Merc Guild Element tracking:
Current streak of quests without reward: 8
Longest streak without a reward: 41
Total Quests: 355
Total Rewards: 60
Percentage of rewards: 16.90%
I have never hit a 20% reward rate since I have been tracking. It seems to fluctuate between a low of 16.5% and a high of 17.5%. I have been tracking for about 100 quests now and I haven't gone outside that range. That said, my count of 355 quests is still to small to be statistically significant. If I were at 10x that amount, I'd say we have evidence of a problem. I will continue to track this and see how it develops. | | Wow... Yep, I meant well, only 4500 players and odds are 1 in 70000, so how come? If someone did 1000 quests his chances to not get an element in 50 in a row quests raise, so it should happen. But anyway, senseless math, as far as we cannot influence it in any way, we can just say that quest can give you an element, but not everytime.

take a coin what chance of getting heads when coin is tossed 50%
but it doesnot mean that evary second chance u will get heads it may happen that u get heads after 15 tosses
similarly 20% doesnot mean after every 5 u will get reward
