1: don't attack hydra with griffins in the beginning > that killed half your sword wall.
2: attack poisoners instead, when poisoners die, grandmaster will shoot hydra > here they wasted 2 shots in killing poisoners which are better spent killing hydras
3: get the recruit upgrade, you will get a few more troops that way due to the knight training. |
yes that was an easy battle and your tactics were poor
the trick to this quests is to protect the GMBs it isnt like the vanguard of necros where the magi are rubbish the gmbs are the most powerful unit on the field, firstly you need to protect them make stacks of about 10 swords around them so shrews wont break it and the GMBs will kill them,
You need to kill the poisoners with your griffin and leave the hydra till last
casting magic on stacks of 10 poisoners is a waste of time attack them with your hero
Always protect GMBs because if they die you lose and they will make short work of the hydra |

try to get recruits, you can have more bowmen that way to kill those hydras or poisoners. Also you should create more stacks of 1, either to take retal or block hydras. I realised towards the end you pretty much move your swords left and letting the hydras kill you, you should stand 1 spot right and 1 up and just defend there until the elf kill the hydras for you. |

depends what build you like..but 1 most important thing that GMB very useful in that field so try protect its number because you can use it hit hydras..
use 1 troop or 1 stack to block hydras as its body is big ;)
