i would have thought a months notice would be given in order for people to get their tgi's back and stop renting them out, alot of people will lose thier tgi's,
sucks for me i was about to rent one and looking forward to getting started, but now thats not going to happen for a long time, time to sell the arts i was saving up for
i guess its good that it is changing, because in the past alot of players where losing thier tgi's to inactive players, and admins would have to fine/ban people, this system avoids that,
also how long does it approx take to get tgi lvl5, i woulda have thought 3 or 4 would be more appropriate as there isnt that many tgi's going around anyway, and they just jumped about 80k on the market, i guess its a way of pushing people to donate if they wish to be part of the thieves guild |

I think they will drop in some time cos with new ambush field hefting are not interesting (too hard). And if there will be something else to do players will prefer to do something else not hefting (where need to invest 400 k for TGI)
So my suggestion is get rid of TGI now. |
Every person renting out a TGI takes a risk. They could lose their TGI through an unscrupulous player. You could play it safe and take your approximately 400K by selling it, or you can choose to be greedy and go for extra cash from it.
The people who rented out their TGI who may now lose out, you were given fair warning that this was coming in. If you kept deciding to rent out that was a risk you chose to take on.
I think TGIs will go up. With the bigger field, it means Knights will rock. Heaps of Xbows and Monks to shoot the enemy who takes 2 turns to get to you, with guardians to stand in the way, your Xbows will be killing like crazy. Mages also get to do more blasting with magic. |

My view is that Thief Guild Invitations may drop in price a little after December 1st.
The reason is those who lease will probably decide to sell. This includes some guilds that have TGIs.
However after 2 or 3 months (when the glut has ended) I expect the price to TGIs to skyrocket. Achieving Thief Level 5 is a tough and long task. Many players will drop out before reaching this goal.
At this point being a Thief will achieve you a high level of prestige, and a small combat advantage.
Thief equipment will also become a lot rarer. It will be intersting to see what happens there too.

That's not 100% true. We were given a warning that players only get TGI at level 5, not that caravans get so much harder and we get a new battle field, which affords a completely new thinking about tactics, arts and factions.
After watching dozens of ambushes, getting advice by many experienced players I was thinking "OK, 2 weeks are not easy, but doable, let's rock before there is no chance for me to enter thieves guild". Now all good advices I've got are worth nothing. It's like been thrown into another game.

I think TGI price may go down. As my last several ambushes with min ap,
it's totally a waste of time and gold to do ambush any more.
Averagely I get only 0.04 - 0.24 fsp for each lose, most of them around
0.16. Well before the updates, I would expect average 0.3 fsp for each lose.
I have already reached TG 4, so I care more about fsp than TG points.
The ambushing fight are not so attracting as b4, the only win I get against
player gave me 0.68 fsp and all other lose cost me 10 min waiting time and
15 min regeneration and 5 min battle time, in total 30 min. With such time,
it's a better choice to go GB, generally 30-50 min with 0.6 - 3.0 fsp gaining.
I really doubt there will be any more motivation for players to do TG ambush
especially after reaching TG 5.
The TG 5 means 400k gold for TGI, 400k gold for arts, to get 5% ini, around
750 fsp with spending time in which doing GB will give you more than 1200 fsp
and much less gold to play.
The TG is dying. Hopefully admin may get some new guilds out, or with slow
pace of updates and events, we will get less playable battles. |
People are forgetting TGIs can be purchased with diamonds. That's what this is about. Basically new players will need to use diamonds to get a TGI or be Very patient. It's not unreasonable. The game developers need to be paid. But yes, it will be very different to now.
Thieving is not just about an initiative bonus (which for me is good enough in itself), it's about the thief items. Getting to Thief level 3 is not too hard, and with there being less thieves, I would think you could average 80K cash selling 2 thief items, in the not too distant future. |
Oh pls, stop crying... Changes of TG were written long time ago, so everyone who read forum, was informed... It is only your fault, that you rented TGI... We all knew that there will be this update...
And bigger field for ambush? DE are crying, becouse their simple tactics are not working anymore, and they cant win every ambush :D. But they had very easy ambushes before update... Some races had to use FA for ambushes, so they could win 60%... I saw a DE with FA, who won more than 100 ambushes in a row... So bigger field just brought balance...
For me as a necro, new field is advantage. I am winning more ambushes after update... |
| I think that what is not right is that we cannot get a TGI at lev 5 now if we got one at lev2 ... but the point about this rule is simple: to enter TG now you need to pay diamond ... and people that have 1 or 2 TGI will sell them for quite some money ... taking advantage from a rule change ... I am disappointed, but life goes on ;) |

Thx a lot to ADMINS for killing our Thieves Guild .. by making harder and harder with 18 x 18 .. :( and just give 1 TGI also no more rentings .. :( they want us to use Diamonds to enter the TG .. :(

I agree. This new system is so totally unfair. The only thing I can understand is that the 'powers that be' want people to buy Thief Invitations for $80 worth of Diamonds. That's not gonna happen. Maybe if they lowered the price (to maybe $40 or $50) players would feel better about buying Thief Invitations with Diamonds. Especially with the exchange rate for buying Diamonds, the price is outrageous! :-(
I also think the developers should give another month or at least a few more weeks for Thief Levels 2 & 3 to get their Invitations before the rules change. That would be only fair! |

Obviously some people are willing to pay ˆ80 to enter the thieves guild
and for the people who are complaining it is unfair on people who rented and already reached TG2 - Why is it?
You got to enter TG, and you got your TGI back at thieves guild 2, instead of needing to reach thieves guild 5 to get it back, so you only got one tgi? People starting after the changes still only get one tgi, and they need 480 more ambush wins to get it, thats FIVE times as many wins in ambushing than you, so I would LOVE to know how it's unfair to YOU compared to the people who start AFTER the changes take place |
