Corndog, what are you doing beating their unjustified rage with logic?
Corndog

it is not unfair vs. people who will buy TG after the change ... it is unfair that some people now have 1 or 2 TGI because of the old rules ... it is a little bit like playing a soccer match and one team is 2-0 ... now the other team is working hard to recover but suddenly the referee decides that the rules are changed and the goals are now only 1m wide ...

but again, it is pointless to discuss ... the new rules will be applied and who has been lucky enough to starting playing early enough will continue to have all the advantages they have (no AP rule at the beginning, fsp given with lost combats even at 0 XP, 2 TGI, etc. etc.) ... still this is the best on-line game I have ever played ... so ... keep on!!!
Actually, there's already an off-topic thread for whine:

Now, onto TGI changes, the meaning of life and all this stuff...

I can't tell for sure how TGI prices will evolve, but at the moment they are quite low. It's the right time to buy one if you can afford it. Many more TGI will hit the market on the long run because players have plenty. Think of all people keeping their TGI for rent; now all they can do is sell them. It will take months - if not more - before the surplus has been absorbed by the community. I doubt Admins will gain much more diamonds in the end.

But I may be wrong, and all wizards reluctant to become thieves because of their faction should secure one with their mini-arts refund rather than speculating on real estate ;)

Other than that, I think one TGI at level 5 makes the TG a "special feature" once again. Frankly, few level 8-10 players aren't thieves. There are thieves everywhere. Being a thief ceased to be anything special long ago. That's bad, somehow, because entering TG was not a choice anymore; it was just another mandatory step in character development. There was nothing new and exciting in becoming a thief. I remember when I became one in september '08 (!) and it was shrouded with mystery.

Honestly, it's not mandatory to become a thief to succeed in the game. But admins took the courageous and hugely unpopular decision to cut the number of thieves down, and I think it's a rather wise move.
Kotrin ... I totally agree with you ... that's why I hoped the admins would have taken even the additional step of retiring any TGI to people who does not have TG 5 just to be fair with the new players and those that are not "old" enough ... and you can see I am not whining at all ... I am happy I am in the guild even if I won't get ever a TGI ...
