I set no unit troops when travelling but i was still ambushed. the server gave me 7 monts to fight. so, i lost gold to the thief hero.
how to avoid ambush at all? |
1. travel with less than 40% troop readiness, this also apply on MG escort quest.
2. get ambushed, you wont be able to get ambushed for next 1 hr.
3. dont travel, camp on 1 same location forever. |

Regardless of your faction, you receive monks*combat level if you travel without troops.
I would recommend travelling without one single unit (recruit) and no artifacts.
After you get ambushed you send a message to the thief asking for your gold.
90% of the time you will get your gold back because you gave them a free TG point. |
+ people of your own military clan cant ambush you.
So if you join a military clan, it reduces the chance to get ambushed

| Or the best way is to ask the thief politely and he/she will give you the money back. Works for me every time. |
To me, that's very close to begging.
Thieving is part of the game. Someone gave me the money they thieved once, and I returned it to them. It's relatively trivial sum anyay.
Posting "Please give me my money back." No thanks. I prefer to keep my dignity. |
