this term is already widespread and in use.
No surprise this tournament was called the "rat-tournament" on .ru (Kotrin)
There are just quite some rat players in that we all know clan (GardenCity)
Winner might still be a rat but it will be fun so he would be funny rat then, right? (Omega22)
it refers to lamers that team up in BF tourney based on clan membership, and cooperate their moves via skype.
since i want to avoid as many bans as possible (i can only imagine what is waiting for me), i would like to know if it's LEGAL to use this term to describe them - "rats". | Any term used in general that doesnt have vulgar content can be used to describe situation(be it noob, donkey, rat). It shouldnt be used against particular person/group.
So the term rat(as a small mammal) is not an insult, but used in a sentence like "Omega is just a smelly rat" would be against the rules if I found that offensive and reported. But I have been called worst names here so the people who like me would make this game more pleasant for me.(Yes it is a Game, really, if we remember what is it used for) | well... it was used on .ru, right? was it punishable there? | #2
not what i had in mind. i don't intend to call a specific player a smelly rat, i don't want to talk about rats as mammals.. i want to call all those people who teamed up on this tourney with one name. they are not cheaters, so i can't call them cheaters. so, how do i call them by using one phrase? word "rats" is already out there.. i can call them lions if necessary, i just feel that rats is more appropriate. | If you find it the right term, sure. After all, Kotrin brought it up. But I think on .ru, where the coordination wasnt so easy due to great number of players, the rat was the term desribing the winners for their precious ability to hide. After all hiding is what winners in normal non-teamed blindfold battles mostly do. | great! they have a name now.. whatever the Russian reasons are | closed by Korzika (2009-12-07 22:58:48) |
