Please bring them back.
I have no idea at all why they were removed, but in my opinion it was a very bad decision.
Combined with the new rule for the wages and thief invitations, I feel sorry for the people that didnt have a TGI yet.
Changing factions at a higher level has become really difficult now. Besides the costs ( ~300 000 gold ) you will also need a lot of patience and good artifacts to reach a decent faction level. (which is very important for certain factions like necromancer, knight, demon and wizard)
Also at hunters guild level 6, you get "double tracking"
Whats the point of it?
4000 zombies that are a red with an exclamation mark
or 1100 wolf raiders which are also red with an exlamation mark
So basically, give a good reason why the halves and thirds were removed, or bring them back.

In the past (7-8 months ago) there was a chance that you would only enounter 50% or 33% of the total creatures.
Example; In your last hunt against wolf raiders, there were 1 000 farmers. You did beat them alone, so the amount increases with 30% (which is huge!) and the next time you meet them, they would come with 1300.
But with halves and thirds, there is a small change you only enounter 650 or 433 wolf raiders. The next time you fight them, they are still with 1300 and NOT with 1690 (1300*1.3) |

Today it is EXACTLY one year ago.
They cant say its too complicated to program, since they already have done it in the past. Besides, I hear more and more rumours about upcoming updates, include this one as well, it will make many many people happy =) ! |

The problem these reduced hunts create is the possibility to fight only those battles in order to get HG points (and on lower levels, good FSP ratio) without actually facing any challenges or increasing the combat level very fast. Also, it can be used by low level gold farming characters to bypass the workaholic penalty.
But on high levels, many players find that most hunts get impossible or time-consuming, and the game gets less fun for those who like to hunt.

Perhaps this would be an idea:
- On reaching HG4, add the possibility to find a 66% hunt if the original threat level is "Challenging" (red-!)
- On reaching HG5, add possibility to find 50% if original is "Challenging"
- on reaching HG6, add 33% if "Challenging" and 66% if "High"...
...and so on. This way, low level characters can't use it to avoid workaholic penalty, it can't be used to get tiny hunts for FSP "farming" and there will still be possible hunts for high level characters.

Hadnt noticed it before, but thats the perfect example of what Im trying to explain.
First you win caravans until you lose. Than you keep losing and losing and losing until you can win. He is using full arts all the time and loses caravan after caravan (and needs to wait 1 hour each time) |
In my eyes PvE is more popular than PvP and there are several suggestions to strengthen PvP, so strengthening PvE even more kind of defeats this purpose. |
PvE is like 90% of this game.
So obviously most people that play this game love PvP ....
PvP is boring, in 95% of the battles you can predict the winner already right after troop settlement. Besides, group battles take ages, 2 hours is not uncommon. And if one person is AFK, he wasted your time and arts.
So ... in short. PvE all the way! |
I don't doubt your preference nor that of the community, but officials seems to want players to interact with one another, so they prevent people from playing PvE only effectively in the long run. I think it's highly unlikely they revise that any time soon. |

also by not allowing hunts to become easier, the admin are forcing us to work together (co-hunt) this is a very fun part of the game 2P V COM. |

Well if they want more PvP battles, they need to give some reward for doing so.
PvP is too long (I have time to play 2 hours battle, but then Ill miss enroll :P)
PvP is too easy to modify (No AP rules make it too easy for people to 'cheat' it)
PvP is too unpredictable (Afkers kill your battle)
And other reasons that keep me from it, personal reasons. |
most of people playing this game during work or doing housework.
PvP is good but one can't play too much. Such as the tournament, 20 battles
in 10 days is almost impossible for 80% players. So admin and
game designer can't neglect the PvE part of this game.
PvE is like farming, with farming then player can challenge each other
or AI task otherwise just make it a chess game, everyone with the same
troops.
I think admin and game designer should focus on some PvE part of this game.
Player would enjoy PvP fun through tournament, event or once per day and
player will be more serious to PvP as well.
At the current system, one could easily lose interest after sometime boring
playing. |
