LordsWM Administration Team | The Great Capital resembles a beehive tonight. The streets are reigned by an unconventional bustle. No wonder, since everyone is preparing to see one of the most favorite holidays in - the New Year!
The Capital now looks bright and festive. Flags and decorations are hung far and wide. Glittering garlands, magical lanterns, varicoloured Christmas-tree decorations on the beautiful Titan-high fir-tree on the Central square, delivered here from the far eastern parts of Seraph's Tears; fluffy snowflakes gently falling on houses and streets - all this is giving tonight's Capital this marvelous charm.
The square hosts a Christmas Fair - an event for merchants and traders of all stripes. Buyers have already congested the square, vendors display their best products: weapons, armor, potions, magical elements... Noisy bargaining, clatter of coins thrown on the counter, gentle rustle of present wrapping… More and more carts scurry in onto the Square delivering ale and wine, mutton and game, and sweets of all sorts to taverns and inns. Each one tries to table sumptuously, to surprise the customers and to multiply their happiness. Pleasant fuss has captured all of the Empire, and everyone seems to welcome this merry invader.
The Herald appears on the square, bringing a parchment out of the Palace's Throne hall. Visibly awed, he shakes his head and gives up the idea of making a proclamation in such a hubbub. After quite some efforts, he reaches the bulletin board and nails the parchment to it. Delightful uproar flows the whole square over, spreading further. A decree of the Empress is now the center of the world - everyone is eager to read it with their own eyes.

The discordant hum of the discussion changes into approbatory exclamations and excited applauding. Lords rub their hands, anticipating great combats and pleasant holidays. The Herald retires after a deep bow. |
