Hello guys and girls
As the Xmas event has come so does the market gone crazy.
I remember when I bought my first MH armor I studied the market for 2 weeks for a cheaper price and I got it for 9k gold, now with 9k I can buy 3 armors, nice.
This event is a gift but ,for sure, it brought and economy collapse. (Not for me because I don't have rare items)
Just look, if you didn't do it till now, at the market prices.
Now the most wanted item is Defender Shield (because of the tournament I think)
So what is your (all) opinion about the market, about the event, and yeah will it be an economy collapse in the game?:P

Market changes are good for the economy - they essentially offer opportunities to earn money and also can result in money loss.
Having a completely steady economy is really dull :-) |

for Jabbar: Yeah is good, but what happens when a guys invest all his money in items? This is like the wall street market, one second you are a king one after you are poor.
I think there are too many rare items for now.

what happens when a guys invest all his money in items?
If someone invests money on items he really needs for himself then I don't see any problem. Market prices should not bother him then :-)
You may become poor if you invest on items with the intention of reselling or renting them - but you may also become rich doing the same.
And these market "trends" can be mostly abused if you are smart - for example right now hunter items and some other stuff are rather cheap compared to usual price so someone could possibly make money by buying some of them. Predicting market price of stuff is easy in general. There is also though the risk of an update that dramatically changes things that can thwart your plans completely :-P |

I will not be "smart" this time, lack of money, lack of space in inventory, and I think this will be a very long term investment.
Now the market does concern your level, you experience, nothing, just luck. The only question is did you get more items than the other guy or the other guy get as many resources as you as a gift?
A market where there is no competition sucks, where is the stronger guy? Where is the guy that fights for his items? And I say this because I know that there are many user that have many accounts, some of them made them 7 day ago when the event started just to speculate the item drop as gifts. It's easy more accounts more gifts. And you can see the number of the players online.
I'm new to this game, I have like 6-7 months, but I never saw a number of online player bigger than the last week number.

As was estimating the request of the Defender Shield dropped, now you can find Defender Shield in facility. Yahoo! No more high price!
PS: I think from the 3rd of january the price will get higher again!
