A wisp of smoke; the merest trace, issued from the bird's beak.
This was it. The beginning of a new cycle. The beginning of a new era.
Within moments, the bird was alight in a blaze unlike any other the onlookers had ever seen.
Scorching red flames, tinted with hints of gold and blue, danced through the air, engulfing the mythical creature in a blaze of light.
All too soon, with a puff and a hiss, the flames died down, and what had once been, was no more then a pile of ash beneath a grand perch.
The gathered crowd looked on with expectant features on their faces, awaiting their chance to see the Mythical bird rise once more.
Yet nothing happened.
Silence set in, as an eerie calm nestled over the obeservant crowd. Watching. Waiting.
A wizened old mage stepped out of the pack of onlookers and stooped down to observe the ashes. Moments later, he turned to address the gathering.
"My fellow lords and ladies. We gathered here to witness one of Mother Nature's greatest miracles; The rebirth of the Phoenix".
"And witness a great miracle, we have".
"It is, however, with great regret that I inform you, that the Phoenix shall not rise again".
The Wizard's words settled over the crowd with a feeling of dread. It could not be.
After what seemed like an eternity of restlessness amongst the crowd, a much younger mage emerged to address the onlookers.
"What has been said, can not be true."
"For we gathered here to view a miracle, and that miracle will not be fulfilled until the Phoenix, once again rises from the ashes, to rest on this perch".
"It is now, that I, Dizbe, approach you with the hope that you will all join me, to help restore the Phoenix to its perch, in all its glory".
"For I will not rest, nor lose faith in what I believe in, until the Phoenix is once more".
With a resounding cheer from the audience, Dizbe the mage was lifted high into the air and the search for the Mythical creature begun.
That day, on the 21st of January 2009, Clan #310 - Followers of The Phoenix was founded, uniting all those in their quest to find the Phoenix, under one name.
For many months the Phoenix Followers have searched to no avail.
But the search has not all been in vain, for many sightings have occurred, and it is believed that as we approach the 1 year anniversary of the disappearence of the Majestic Phoenix, new clues may come available as to the whereabouts of our beloved bird.
Only time will tell... | Will you be the next to join us in our search?
The conditions of entry are outlined below.
- The cost to Join is 1000 gold.
- You must be level 5 or above to join.
- There is NO Tax.
- You must follow all game rules.
- Be reasonably active.
