I know there are versions for Mozilla and Opera. Not sure how you make it work with other browsers.

Its not "that" risky, in rare occasions your browser might do some of those things, its an official mozilla addon, so it should be alright. I use it for years, not a big deal. You can try it and if some of these things happen, you know what is behind it and you can uninstall it easily.
