Author | Troop recruit to avoid thief issues |
I know there are two main tactics for making thief attacks short, either recruiting one unit or recruiting none.
What I wonder is why people choose to do 1 unit rather than none. I know the pobvious argument is that the battle will be as short as possible. However, the cons are that the thief, while getting teh thief point, gets close to no FSP or experience. If however the thief switches to no troops, they get the monks, which are always really easy to defeat quickly as well, but they also allow the thief to gain a very good FSP to exp ratio.
Therefore I would argue that a conscientious player who wants to have quick thief encounters would recruit no troops.
In addition to this, if you recruit one unit, does it matter which type? Ie is my scenario of teh 1 troop recruit giving no FSP only for low tier troops, and taht if you use a higher one it becomes more significant? |
yeah, no troops recruit. so, some monks replace in according your combat level.
thief kill more = more exp. is that make sense for recruit only 1 unit now? |
Topic moved from "General game forum" to "Queries and help". |
Sorry for teh dual nature of teh post, started off as aforum discussion thing, and ended with a question. Just did some quick research, and for example Kotrin recruited 1 grif, which when killed yielded 0.16 FSP for opponent, far better than if he had recruited 1 farmer. In comparison if he had taken no troops and been given monks the thief would have had 0.68 FSP and very similar exp.
So in order of conscientiousness for teh person who wants to avoid lengthy thief battles
If you want to be super quick -
recruit one high level troop - eg griffin so can suicide if desired
If you want to be quick but not quite as much as before
Recruit no troops so you get monks allowing thief to get full FSP |
gets close to no FSP or experience.
You cant ambush people from your own Military Clan.
So in short, none of the people that ambush me are my friend. So what do I care about them? |
I don't consider the only good people in the game to be from my clan. I would rather go from the starting position that I like evryone, and would only choose to change that should they prove otherwise, rather than teh opposite standing |
So you want to "gift" ~ 1 fsp to the "unknown" ?
They should be happy enough they get a free TGI point :P Thats my gift. |
The idea being that if everyone operated in teh same way, I would gift that to them, but I would get the same gift in return. In truth though I don't gift anything to anyone, I can never be bothered to switch around my troops, and haven't put on greasemonkey to every computer I play from so I am being selfish really, because I don't practice what I preach. |

But i agree with sven91, why should anyone gift so much skill points to a stranger that ambushed you ;) |

It's all about karma. Maybe the strange will do something nice to you in the future. :) |
