Anyone know why they never ever update lordswm.com? i mean look at .ru they got lvl 15 and so many more places to hunt and even tiers. I mean its not that hard to just copy paste their server and translate a little bit. Anyone know why noone does this? |

The updated features in .ru are mostly related to high lvl players. So just enjoy what we have now. I believe admin will introduce lvl 15 to us after we have got enough lvl 14 players. Dont forget .ru has 300+ lvl 14 players when they got lvl 15. |
in this server almost antos could reach 15lv so whats the point to add here that feature? |

Increasing the level cap is not going to make the game more attractive. More interesting events and/or tournaments are the key point. Oh and also not to make the game so incredibly hard.... |

I am fine with making it challenging, but not impossibly hard. Look at the HG and TG. People has to lose hundreds of TG over and over to beat the caravan, that's not interesting AT ALL.

over and over? when you get the caravans once to a point of balance you win around 40-45% of the caravans using a given set of artifacts. The people that need to lose a lot of caravans to reach that point are only the ones that abused high AP and enchants to get their success rate at 80-90% for some time. They then decide that ambushing with arts costing 2000g/battle isnt worth it and they start fighting with min ap. Only those people need to lose a lot of ambushes and only because they won too many before without losing. That's the way the thieves guild works and it is very good because you never run out of things to do.
Also keep in mind that when you reach a point of 40-45% winning rate the ambush "losses" will give you on average around 0.5 fsp - same as a WON hunt or quest. |

Not exactly. Also for someone who choose to switch faction from DE like me. Just check out my combat log, most of the TG for me is hopelessly impossible, even a DE with full art will have little chance to win. Also everybody knows that DE's caravan strength has increased by a lot which means they will have to start losing TG... |

If that is true about DE caravans ( dont really know for sure yet what changes we had exactly ) then it is quite a good change. DE had very beneficial ambushing for 1.5 year - it wont hurt them to lose ambushes for a month or two to feel like the other factions. I remember when i switched from wizard to DE my caravans instantly had like 60-70% of the troops compared to before, and then going back to wizard increased them again compared to DE numbers just before. That was quite wrong and if it has been fixed I am really glad about it.
Anyway we are going out of topic here but what i want to point is that the game is not impossibly hard if you know its mechanics and use them carefully ( and yes i believe that ambushing in full arts w/enchants is a mistake knowing how difficulty increases/decreases - you can get substantial short-term benefits by doing it but then you have to pay the price ). |

If you win one it increases by 7%, lose one it decreases difficulty by 5%, which is pretty balanced.
size of caravan = 1, if you win it's 7% bigger so 1.07, and then if you lose it's decreased by 5%, making it 1.0165, so it's only 1.65% harder than when you started |

I am not say the same success rate. But it is not reasonable for every faction NOT having the same caravan strength. What is the point? Encourage everyone to say in one faction?
Yes, you can say that you can keep losing in order to decrease the difficulty, but not everyone has the patience to do that. Well of course I do, and that is what I am doing right now, but you know my point is for those who do not have that much patience, they will leave, and that is not what admin would like to see. We need more people to make this server better, make the pvp more interesting.
My whole point is, increasing the difficulty over and over again is not the way to make this game more interesting. |
get used to losing caravans, which is also a main purpose of this game. :)
This game definitely will attract people who likes losing a lot. I already see some such players...... |
