then

You have to take into account the resale price of worn arts.

Light axe + def shield = 6.16 + 9.01 = 15.17 gold/fight, 3.06 gold/AP
At lvl 7, 7 AP required :
Light axe + def shield + medal of bravery = 6.16 + 9.01 + 11.80 = 26.97 gold/fight, 3.85 gold/AP

Then ? Hunter shield, 800 gold, 2 AP, resale at 40 gold : 760 gold, 76 gold/ap
Hunter pendant : 750 gold, sold 50 at 0/10 : 70 gold/AP
Hunter hat, 750 gold, 1 AP, 70 gold/AP
Cheap, indeed. Around 250 gold/fight. 15 times more expensive than Light axe + def shield. |

Ok, he didn't pay anything for them.
It still is more expensive : by selling them on market, he would have got gold to buy other arts with higher durability.
He thus lost money by doing so :P |
