Anyways the point would be that if two people are hunting in the same spot or being ambushed by the same thing why can they not be ambushed by the same A.I controlled enemy trying to steal from the caravans?
Why can they not have two lords trying to protect a small amount of farmers (probuably split stacks) from a enormous army bandits that would normally be to many for one lord?
The sense of merc guild quests is to add to the >Lord< part of lordswm and to add more vs a.i style of game play.
(Both of witch can be achieved with two people.) |
I wouldn't be so petty as to correct your mistakes, but since you're so intent on correcting others, I see it only fitting that you should get a taste of your own medicine:

I haven't seen the owner say that it would be mandatory to bring a friend along, you could still do your quests solo. Why not let him bring a friend along if that's what he wants to do? |

There's no point in giving assistance, since there are enough quests to last you even into the higher levels.

but there should be at minimum one quest you have to do on your own.

Well if you felt like it you could just do a single hunt win and stop playing, or only do hunt assistance when available... there are a large number of ways to get 100% wins from your combats in this game.
Besides as you get higher level the mercenary quests start to get impossible and at this point assistance becomes needed.
(Mercenary assistance should give less benefits for completing it, or just split the reward 50/50 or etc) |

It's an okay idea... it makes MQ do-able at earlier levels, as well as allow people to go further on their current ones. Sure it affects the prices of elements, but that is neither good nor bad.
Just like hunt assist, it makes impossible ones possible for a while... and then quickly become impossible again. Not much point imo. Then again, this is coming from a person who isn't a fan of asking hunt assist in the first place.
