sometimes not work? | Whenever this creature deals ranged damage to an enemy, the projectile ricochets three times, each time to another enemy nearest to the previous one. The target takes full damage, the second-in-line - 50% damage, the third one - 25% damage, and the last enemy in line - 12.5% damage. Ranged penalty is applied to all those who are out of shooting range of this creature (more than 6 tiles away). The ricochet shot skips creatures with Demonic ability. | Also if the next nearest target is a friendly non-demon unit, ricochet will cease. | why | Also if the next nearest target is a friendly non-demon unit, ricochet will cease.
why
I see. You would rather the the shot hit an unlucky teamate of yours that was just attacking the enemy unit near him-so as to do an even lower damage to the next target. I'll be sure to avoid teaming up with you in the future.

Your shot would hit v (in range, dealing 100% damage,
then hit y, in range, dealing 50% damage,
then hit x (just to hit x, you had to hit y), dealing 25%*1/2(out of range) damage, dealing only 12.5%.
OR would you rather it did not hit y, you lose fsp for hitting y anyway, plus the damage dealt to x isn't that great. |
