Dear admins...
We have started cheater hunting in our clan. we have contacted the cheaters within the clan and asking them to correct their mistakes. but since:
1- we can not give them penalties...
2- We can not ban them from the Game temporarily...
3- we can only Evict them
only a small number cooperate. what we have done was posting a topic in complaints section but no one does any actions. I think the problem may be from the lack of sufficient admin and moderators. so what i am suggesting:
since becoming a Military(war) clan is a very expensive task; the leader of the clan will never want to lose the clan by doing any cheating or lawbreaking by banning unreasonably or giving a penalty. I suggest adding this option to leader or a player chosen by that leader called as Judge of the clan who has these abilities on JUST the same clan members.
This can help the game by:
- Decreasing the cheating by having additional law keepers(1 in every military clan) help for admins.
- solving more complaints from the players which results in more happy players.

Clan leaders should not have the same powers as the admins. Banning and giving penalty should only be admin powers. If clan leaders get such powers, what's to prevent them from abusing these powers?

I think this is plenty good already. Though it would be nice if clan leaders can evict with a reason attached and this log would also show up on player profile logs and not just on clan logs. |

What II mentioned was just for WarClans. as you know perfectly, becoming a WarClan is not an easy task(The Fact of this matter is The number of warclans we have now). Controlling of some WarClan leaders is so much easier for admins than the whole members of LWM. a WarClan leader (which is ussually a game senior player) does not abuse other players ussually and again if he does the admins are there to solve it.
I have mentioned before, The admins are UnSuccessfull in creating a cheat free game even though players are sending report and complaints to them(I have sent a lot already which the guilty players also confess them).
you may be right that banning may be extra but giving penalty is a must so they can help the admins.
as a fellow software manager, you can also add some managment option just for them to cancel a transaction which has been done. but that would be harder than giving them the power to give penalties to their OWN clanmembers.

I'm not saying the cheating isn't a problem, but this isn't the way to resolve things. I'm more for increased admin presence, more Keepers (and expanded powers), and more Juries (activated again).
There are a few problems with your solution:
1.) Not everyone is in a War Clan.
2.) This would make War Clan leaders not only responsible for but also liable for clan members that cheat.
3.) It doesn't resolve the issue of War Clans and their leaders cheating as a whole. There have already been allegations of several War Clans cheating (not just a few random members) as whole.
4.) It would not prevent power abuse. |
