How do we increase our main attributes ( att, def, spell power, know.) after leveling up ?

Of course it is not my char I want to increase att.
A level 3 asked me for help and I tried to help him but I didn't find how to do it. When I leveled, I remember it was something obvious to do, that is why I find strange his char is not increasing... or when we level to 3, there is no increase in attributes? | it's little plus sign besides the attributes.
every level has an increase. | | Thanks, now I remember it was how I leveled up my att. But he doesn't have the plus sign. Maybe he already leveled and don't remember. | | He could post directly on forum, it would be easier to check wether he already used his 2 attribute points or not. |
