Description
Fire magic spells damage enemy creatures armor for 1 combat turn, reducing their defense by 2% per spell power point, up to 50% maximum.
So if the caster have SP25 or more, the stack(s) cast at would have a 50% reduction in their defense.
Does racial resistance have any effect on this?
Thanks in advance. |
no, racial resistance only reduce the final dmg taken.
but, i have question on barbarian faction skill. will it reduce the effect of Dom of fire |
i don't think barb faction skill will reduce effect, it only affects damage i think
but Fireproof talent (holy magic i think) can be used. |
yes, there are something you have to know.
barbarian faction skill allow them to resist ALL negative buff too. i had test that out in a duel with barbarian in lv8 before.
so, is the dom of fire consider as negative buff? no one know, it never stated clearly in help and manual. |
for Pang:
Well, I was watching a combat replay with dom of fire and I think it is a negative buff as it reduces Y% of target defense for x number of turns unlike disruption ray which has no resistances (as far as I know) and works immediately for the rest of the combat. |
disruption ray which has no resistances
Can be resisted by Magic proof and Magic immunity. |

i had taste that in last blindfold battle. although i had magic proof arts, but this talent still cause my troops losing 50% def for 1 turn.
so, i wonder is barbarian resist on that effect too? perhaps a replay about dom fire against barbarian to prove something is good.
i had test on dark spells on barbarian; all negative buff were reduced effect on them. |
for Pang:
Well, looks like we need 2 volunteers, a level 10 wiz and barb |
for Pang:
Cause the "Magic proof" from arts is actually just Magic shield. If you take Unicorn's magic proof, it works in resisting those spells too. |
