Author | dmg modifiers vs +attack |
i have a suspicion dmg modifiers are more effective than atk over defence
but i don't know
say you have a mh cutlass with +10% melee dmg modifier -- is that more effective, less effective, or equally effective, compared with having an extra 2 attack over your enemies def
you know what i'm asking, even if i'm struggling to ask it .. | ^it's the sabre with the 10% dmg mod, but yeah. | Using 10 Angels as a knight with 0 skill as a knight and 2 extra points in attack over your enemys defense, the formula would look like this:
D= 45*10*1*1,1 = 495
Which would mean 45 extra damage.
Using a 10% damage modifier would result in the same damage. (450*1,1 = 495) | Remember, the 10% increased damage is only for melee attacks. | usually 10% bonus melee would mean that if you do 20 damage you deal 22 damage in essential while +2 attack would aproximately give you the same result...
however.. this attack would also give same result for range... + if your base damage is reduced because of the opponent having high def then that 10% is too little so in the long run go for attack... you do need extra melee damage but not now...
+ many unanswered questions about hero damage also include your attack so to push the damage to a certain range you need certain level + certain attack
hope this helps |
