guys...i am level 2 in barbarian ...
i must get magic resistance...
but still i am getting the same 20 damage for magic punch spell and 8 damage for earth and spikes spell ??
what is the real magic proof i want to get in this level 2 of barbarian ??

Punch isn't affected by Magic Resistance anyways, it gives physical damage.
And spikes should hit under 8 damage to you, DE may have higher spellpower (Piercing Magic doesn't affect so much on those levels...) |

Piercing magic
Dark elves hold an innate interest to the magical forces of nature connected with destruction. In addition to knowledge, accumulated for centuries, they have an inner intuition to magic that allows them to improvise on the battle field, making the effect of their spells unpredictable for the opponent. Dark elves have a unique ability to inflict extra damage with magic to creatures that have magic shield, and even pierce through magic proof and immunity. Damage dealt depends on lord's Dark elf skill level.

This is how it works. I'm a wiz. I'd normally deal 200 dmg with hero.
You have 50% magic proof.
I would normaly deal to you 200*0.5 = 100 dmg.
Now, it's a bit more complicated, because I have an artifact that deals 10% piercing magic.
You neglected 100 dmg with your magic proof, so I'll deal 100*0.1 = 10 more dmg.
Thus, final dmg dealt by me would be of 110.
Anyway, you should bother about this; barb are just unbeatable as casters (that is not a holy caster ofc); magic punch is a bit useful on early lvl, but after lvl 5, almost no one will use it since it will deal ridiculous dmg.
For the others spells, using it against barb with decent faction lvl is just a waste. |

You can't get them from any arts on lv5 if i remember right.
But on lv6 you get this:

No doubt to say, but that artifact is awesome. 25% against Air elemental, on lv5-7 Magic Arrow is only good damaging spell and it deals air damage. But i'd not take it for barbarian, because your magic resistance is usually just enough against casters (well, not maybe against DEs... ;)) |
