For normal shop artifacts, I can't imagine why anyone would pay the exhorbitant prices on the market unless:
1) The item is not easily obtained from the factory (always in low supply). For example, this used to be the case for Rings of Inspiration, until the second factory was added. Currently it appears that all factories are well-stocked, but that may not always be the case.
2) The item requires resources that are hard to obtain. Mercury, sulphur, wood, and ore are always in abundance, so usually it's just gems and crystals that may be hard to get. Admins just restocked the mines yesterday, so there's plenty of crystals, but gems are in low supply.
So see if you can find items that fit either of these criteria. That would at least make the item easy to sell, even if you don't get a huge profit.
Of course, you can always try to sell anything. There will always be someone too lazy (or too afraid) to travel who would be willing to pay extra for the market convenience. You'd be amazed how many people fit this description. |

4) moving there takes additional time, some players aren't patient and pay additional gold for that (the same players usually rent houses too :) ) |

| well, IMHO usually, wise traders do not trade artifacts for profit... for profit you should sell materials to factories and use artifacts as a way to sell to factory resources and be able to work on it... it's quite different on .ru server because of wars in time of which factories are often become unavailable. |
