This facility only employs 5 people per hour at a paltry base income of 100 gold. Also, Mercury cannot be purchased there.
I do regularly see a few people enrol there so does this facility serve any "special" purpose in the game ?
Cheers | There has been much speculation on what is it for, but I think this is the reason it's for:
Some time before, when the lab, ore pit, farm and sawmill in the Great Capital all had the same wage (except that the lab had a 1 gold higher wage), people enrolled there regually. There would come a time where there was NO free posts in the Great Capital. During this period, should any new players come, they play, they are told to go to the map and enroll - so they go, but they find no free places. They look around the map and see that other places can enroll, but what if travelling had some disadvatages? They had no idea. Therefore, there is nothing for them to do but skip this step. After skipping, since it doesn't seem to affect gameplay that much, they forget enrolling, and therefore never enroll - causing them to have very little gold when they reach level 5 to deal with the AP rule.
To fix this problem, the admins change to wage to 100. That way, very little people would enroll there due to the extreme decrease in wage and would travel somewhere else - leaving the lab free for enrollment for new players if all other fatories are used, albeit at a much lower wage. But, hey, at least it's something, right? |
