"Report", the dark elf councilman stood up and approached the irresolute foreman who stood in the lobby shifting from one foot to another, giving obvious signs of willing to speak to his headmaster, but not daring to interrupt his meeting.
"Venerable sir, we have succeeded. The sap is ready, we led it through the front part of the graveyard and down through the ceiling of the already uncovered enclosure."
"Perfect" Kh'Everst praised the excavation team taskmaster. "Any major difficulties? Did my Ambushers come in handy?"
"No, Sir, we did not meet resistance, we managed to dig through unnoticed. The enclosure is now filled up with earth though, I guess it is good luck that we have looted it already completely."
Kh'Everst nodded. In his heart he was extremely pleased, but as always, kept his emotions inside, and the taskmaster had his doubts on whether the dark elf was indeed satisfied with his work. Seeing the sum on the promissory bill signed by Kh'Everst vanished those doubts.
Shortly after, the imperial herald took his usual position on the Central Square and proclaimed:
"Lords and ladies! Excavation works supervised by councilor Kh'Everst were recently finished. A sap leading to the enclosures evading clashes with the Venomancers is now accessible by everyone situated in any location near the Crypt and out of combat. You may now use your Calamity keys at any moment you find convenient!
Proceed to enclosures and use the keys to help unlocking more precious treasures, and don't stand back in this decisive moment, lend your hand in the campaign to destroy the Unholy enemies and uncover all of the enclosures. Empire above all!" |
