From what I can recall, it takes more than 1 MILLION gold to get max smith/armoring/enchanting, so unless one is very dedicated to the game, it's not a direction you should be heading.
IF you don need to repair/enchant anything (usually rare or enchanted arts), just send it over to 1 of the many max/almost max smith/enchanters that's around. | Smith:
