I was reading some posts concerning Arctic and I've realized...
This should be an event!
Make this a tournament.
Everyone picks a side of rebels or Empire.
The rebel army has:
rebels and bowman
The Empire army has:
brutes and crossbows
The winning side gets bonuses according to how many battles each player fought.
The loosing side, gets a gracious pardon. | | Good,now i will join rebel army. | Empire army? brutes and xbows?
Rebel Army? Rebels and Bowman?
Empire Army sure win! | Empire Army sure win!
Consider that it would probably be a no arts tournament.
Therefore, the defense of these units would be low, making xbow ability unimportant.
Meanwhile, bows volley could still be highly useful.
Also rebels should be able to beat brutes most of the time when properly managed.
Given even numbers, rebel army of rebels+bows would be at an advantage. | oh come on !
let this be a fight with upgrades and alt upgrades !

our army = sprites,elite forest keepers,Grandmaster bowmen
Empire army = dryads and forest bretrens,rangers

Everyone from HoMM 5 (I refuse to say MM:H 5, if you know what I'm talking about) knows that the altgrades off the knight (Haven) faction is all about the "Rebel" theme:
Rebellion: Brutes, Sharpshooters, Crusaders, Frenzied Griffin (whats the exact name?) Monk Altgrade (forget the name), Champions, and Seraphs.
Empire: Recruits, Crossbowmen, Guardians, Royal Griffins, Clerics, Paladins, Archangels | (sorry for double post, forgot the last part)
They could easily turn this little "joke" into the plotline for an event to introduce the Knight altgrades |
