we cant do anything its the way of the life,english is there because there were british colonies all over and Britain continues to be one of the most powerful not only it is the most widely spoken language but,one of the oldest,also there is one more thing English is the global language,
the lordswm.com server was made for ppl who dont know Russian,it is open to all and English is the only communicating language,if russians complain abt speaking English then they are welcome to leave and play on .Ru We are doing this for the better of russians and english speakers.

There are a lot more languages around in lords. I speak some english, but is not my natal tongue at all ( spanish is ). But i think unfortunately english is some kind of universal idiom nowadays and if it keep me playing this wonderful game and make friends from all around the world, well, i 'll use it.
Obviously when find some spanish speaker don't welcome him (or her) with "hi", but "hola", so i understand russians players talking in russian between them.
Anyway is a good idea this thread for better in game comunicattions and , why not, to better make friends! :=) |

it would be very simple to communicate with ru players that don't understand english. if you would like them to take retaliation just name the grid of unit taking retal and unit retaliating. ex.
4:1->6:2
if they would like you to wait
4:1->4:1
same with moving and attacking
im not sure if much people would defend and if they would need to defend they would probaly be aware of that,in any case this gets a little more complicated.
4:1 <> 4:1
if u want them to save your unit or whatever,u could just guide their units to the designated spots in which it would assist what you needed.it would probaly be more accurate and to your liking. |

if russian learnt latin so thy can use here, i think thats already enough, english is too much, few words enough, same as you would do on their server.
btw remember that this game would not be available to worldwide if no russian so give huge recognition for it & dont make them suffer because they make it possible to you to enjoy fruits of their hard work!!

I dont understand much of the rest of the msg, apart from what i suspect is a burst of national pride.
Anyway, I would like to ask you something else.
I want to play with players from all over the world.
Does that mean that I have to learn Hindi, French, Hungarian, German, Swedish, Polish, Greek and so on?

English is suppose to be Second language in almost all country, thats why English is the official language IN MOST GAMES. Why LWM would be different if they have started an International server ?
As for the Russian Pride propaganda, its Arctic who made it possible to have .com. Not the Russians playing .Ru.
Learn English like everyone else, thats it, thats all. |
