Treefolks have ability "Entangle roots" what prevent enemy unit from move.
When they will be attacked by Bears, and kicked back, entangle will still work or they will be canceled?
a) treefolks is attacked by rooted Bears unit
b) treefolks is attacked by other Bears unit
What will happen? | | Entangle will be canceled if knocked back. | | Sorry for double post, the entangle will be canceled as long as the treefolk are not at an adjacent tile of the entangled unit. | Paw knock (triggering special ability):
This creature has a chance to knock the target of its attack, attempting to displace it by one tile in the direction of its attack and making it lose all accumulated initiative. Target creature can only retaliate if it has not been displaced. This ability attempts to trigger as many times as many tiles were covered before the attack; thus, if this creature has covered 0 tiles (attack from place) on any turn, the chance of this ability to trigger is 0.
Entangling roots:
The creature tangles the target with its roots after the attack, immobilizing it. Any number of enemy stacks can be tangled. However, once the creature moves to any different tile, the immobilizing effects vanish.
a) treefolks is attacked by rooted Bears unit
If they are entangled and they attack the Treefolks, it means it covered exactly 0 tiles before attacking. Therefore, the chance of paw knocking is 0, so nothing special can happen.
b) treefolks is attacked by other Bears unit
In this case, if the paw knock triggers (now it is possible compared to case a), as the Treefolks will be moved to a different tile (I don't believe it matters if it's still adjacent or not; otherwise they would be allowed to move around an entangled creature while keeping it entangled which we know that does not happen), so the entangling effects vanish from the creatures that were entangled.
However, these are only a priori answers so correct me if I am wrong. | a) treefolks is attacked by rooted Bears unit
if treefolks are kicked by bear and will no more be adiajent to the entrangled enemy it will certanly free it
if the bear ability trigger but the treefolks will not move back couse ther is an object behind him or another troups i almost sure that they will free the enemy anyway
the same is with the hell horses fear ability
if your treefolks entrangled the cave demons and hell horses fear trigger but trees don't move , they automaticaly relase the cave demons | | like #4 stated; rooted bears have a 0% chance of knockback. | rooted bears
