3.19. Unofficial stakes on gold, resources and items in combats and "Two Towers" game are prohibited.
3.22. Any custom combat tournaments with a prize reward and/or a participation fee are forbidden.
Custom card game tournaments are allowed.
Looking at the card game aspect, how do these two rules supplement eachother? Is 3.19 perhaps meant for third parties betting on who of two card gaming players will win, while 3.22 applies only to participating players? | Quite.
3.19. says that even participating players are not allowed to place bets (exception: card game bets within interface).
3.22. says that it is allowed (to participating players, not 3rd parties) to collect participation fees and give out prizes. | hmm, ok...
so a participation fee isn't considered a stake then? (as in: "I bet I can win...") | Not concerning rule 3.19.
According to logic it should be considered as a stake, but it was never handled like this. ;) |
