Author | A few numbers |
ohhh haha, alright, that makes a lot more sense, my mistake :) |
This happens mainly due to the AP rule. Many players don't like the idea of losing gold this way. Soon, they get bored and leave the game. |
how to read numbers:
lvl x => Nbr of account 10/04/2011 => Nbr of account 24/04/2011 (so 2 weeks later) and last is progression (including those coming to the level and those leaving up):
lvl 15 => 59 accounts => 59
lvl 14 => 105 accounts => 110 => +5
lvl 13 => 258 accounts => 261 => +8
lvl 12 => 362 accounts => 362 => +8
lvl 11 => 520 accounts => 521 => +9
lvl 10 => 1.081 accounts => 1.087 => +15
lvl 9 => 1.769 accounts => 1.804 => +50
lvl 8 => 2.559 accounts => 2.560 => +51
lvl 7 => 4.170 accounts => 4.191 => +72
lvl 6 => 7.749 accounts => 7.776 => +99
lvl 5 => 21.058 accounts => 21.150 => +191
lvl 4 => 18.422 accounts => 18.493 => +262
lvl 3 => 34.029 accounts => 34.195 => +428
lvl 2 => 30.971 accounts => 31.159 => +616
lvl 1 => 429.423 accounts => 430.929 => +2.122
I'm not removing admin accounts or filtering on any criteria such as blocked/unblocked
I guess everybody can deduce what he wants from those numbers ^^ |
Judging from those numbers I see a ~1% increase in overall population growth and a ~1 to ~5% in leveling up from old accounts. |
lvl 1 => 429.423 accounts => 430.929 => +2.122
welcome to 2122 new member.
but, 2000 new member in 2 weeks seems dont have too much difference in "player online". where are they ? |
Don't check the numbers - 2k seems like a lot. However, its percentages that will show and its a very tiny percentage, about 1/2 percent. |
lvl 2 => 30.971 accounts => 31.159 => +616
lvl 1 => 429.423 accounts => 430.929 => +2.122
to level up from level 1 to level 2 need only a few days. if we see that number, 2100-600=1500. maybe we already lost 1500 new players. :) |
cool, there are new members! welcome :)
El-Sheighul from where do you have these numbers? |
Hello,
El-Sheighul from where do you have these numbers?
http://www.guildofheroes.ru/lords.php |
for cakur:
Your math is wrong; it's 2100+600=2700 new members (assuming the 600 lvl 2 accounts are new and weren't old lvl 1 accounts that took over a month to lvl up) |
Your math is wrong; it's 2100+600=2700 new members (assuming the 600 lvl 2 accounts are new and weren't old lvl 1 accounts that took over a month to lvl up)
oh, you right. its not cumulative. so, based on 2100+600=2700, maybe we already lost 2100 new players. :)
of course some player need a lot of time to level up (especially multi). that is only a rough calculation. |
Oh wait; on 2nd thought the 2nd part of my last msg is wrong. No matter whether old or new lvl 1 accounts reaching lvl 2, we still got an extra 2.7k accounts. Well, assuming they don't need more time to reach lvl 3, we actually lost 2.7k accounts already. :p |
Actually, if I get it right, 2.122 is the total number of accounts that leveled up to any higher level (including lvl up from 13 to 14, etc...).
If you check the numbers, you'll see that there are 1506 more lvl 1 accounts, as well as 188 more lvl 2 accounts. That makes 1 700 "lost" accounts. |
for Slust:
Aww... you're right. El-Sheighul did a top to bottom cumulative addition of the accounts. The way he presented the numbers it looked like each combat lvl got that many extra accounts.
2122-428=1694 lost accounts (lvl 1-2 are assumed to be lost). |
5+8+8+9+15+50+51+72+99+191+262+428+616+2.122=3.936 more accounts. Even if you subtract every number that are level 1 or 2, we still have 1.198 more. |
for Arghmage:
Not really.
lvl 15 => 59 accounts => 59
lvl 14 => 105 accounts => 110 => +5
There are 5 lvl up from lvl 13 to 14 (and 0 from 14 to 15)
lvl 13 => 258 accounts => 261 => +8
There are 261 - 258 = 3 lvl up from 12 to 13.
So, why did he write 8? That's 5 (13 to 14) + 3 (12 to 13) = 8
lvl 12 => 362 accounts => 362 => +8
lvl 11 => 520 accounts => 521 => +9
Here, we have 1 more lvl up: that makes 8 + 1 = 9
(...)
lvl 1 => 429.423 accounts => 430.929 => +2.122
So, in the end, there are 2.122 new accounts, 1.694 being new lvl 1 or 2. That makes (if you consider lvl 1 & 2 as lost): 2 122 - 1 694 = 430 new accounts, roughly. |
Sorry, I got confused by the numbers. |
so many new players, but i dont see an increasing number in "player online". where are they ? are they only worker who login-work-logout ? |
for cakur:
430 new accounts doesn't mean 430 new 24/7 online accounts. Even if a person is at their computer 24/7, the game doesn't register you online 24/7 unless you clicking on screens every few minutes or are on an auto-refreshing screen such as the Group Battle page.
So I'm going to estimate an average of 1 hour online display time for those new accounts. 430 / 24 = 18 accounts on 24/7. So your perceived increase in the online displayed should only be 18.
There are a bunch of other factors and all this is just an estimation example. But with a number as low as 18, you won't notice anything. |
Keep also in mind that if on the other hand if 430 players would quit this game at the same time, you wouldn't notice an increase at all . |
