Why Magic resistance and faction resistance don't affect ... Darkness magic
In game there are only 2 ways to get some magic resistance to darkness magic :
1- Barbarian resistance
2- Unicorns aura
Why normal magic resistance from talents and arts doesn't work ? |
Magic resistance only reduces the effect of the element-type magic - Air, earth, fire and water.
Apparently, darkness magic is non-elemental and is hence not affected by magic resistance.
Faction resistance
# damage dealt to you by representatives of this very faction - every skill level decreases the damage dealt by that faction to you by 3%;
Only damage dealt is reduce. It is slightly misleading to say 'faction resistance'. A more accurate version is 'damage resistance to xxx faction' |
Faction defence help you to reduice damages from physical and magical attacks. Dark spell does not do any damages. Same way for magic Defence, you must read "defence" so defence against damages...
For Unicorn and barb we should use magic proof so act over all magic. |

that's why i'm asking :P
it don't give resistance against poison magic and that's elemental dmg
earth dmg couse you can enchant it with earth magic elements on jewels |
| Poison is not a direct attack (spell) like chaos, magic punch (physical)... |
| earth magic shield prevents a bit of damage from the SPELL poison. |
| okok ut i still hope that a day magic resistance will protect from dark magic too :P |
