I wish to apologize in advance as I do not wish to continue organizing the LotW contest. This is mainly because of me possibly facing time constraints in the future.
However, I will be opening up the Hall of the Observers thread for all of you who still wish to continue composing fan-fic texts related to the lore of the game, as well as for comments and roleplaying. Of course, you may do all that in a separate thread of your own.
Thank you for your understanding. :) | Post #2
Jesslyn looked about in desperation as she ran through Silent Forest*. She thought this would be a simple delivery quest to Verdant Dell, cutting through Silent Hill was supposed to save her a few days of travel, not get her entire entourage slaughtered by a Barbarian-led ambush. As her mind thought of the things the Barbarian would do to her once she was captured, she ignored the pain spreading through her lungs and pressed on.
After hours of running, Jesslyn collapsed on the ground, exhausted. Wolf howls tore through the silence in the forest as Wolf Raiders appeared out of the undergrowth and advanced menacingly. “Hand over the cargo, Knight!” the leader of the pack shouted out.
Jesslyn tossed aside her red riding-cloak and drew her sword, ready to die fighting, when creaks and snaps drowned out the wolf pants. A deep voice echoed through the forest “Go, Knight. We’ll handle them” as vines and branches begun to attack the wolves. The treefolk that was the forest itself destroyed the Barbarian forces within seconds.
“I’m so going to enter the Arch of Change** and become an Elf once I get back.” Jesslyn whispered to herself as she ran off out of the forest.
*Silent Forest is the forest on Silent Hill
** The Arch of Change is a stone archway found inside the Castles of all Lords and Ladies of the realm that will allow them to change faction once per 24 hours by walking through it and declaring their new faction while doing so. It strips them of their old self and reforms them into a new body belonging to their new faction. It also phase-shifts the old castle into a parallel dimension and phase shift in a castle of their new faction, or brand-new castle if no previous castle has been built by the Lord or Lady. | Post #3
Finally, Guilm looked on with wild disbelief, recalling ancient stories which he had considered only faerie tales. As the armies of nature walked forward, the very trees seemed to uproot themselves, pulling their trunks up from the earth with a spray of dirt and the groaning of wood scraping against wood. The tree forms stretched up and outward, shaking off many millennia of hibernation. And now the gigantic forms marched along with the other ranks of nature’s army.
Guilm stood amongst the awakening woods as a child in a room where dreams were_reality, and any wish need only be asked to come true. The army of the Blooming Glade was awakened. The wind had served as the call of drums or horns issuing the soldiers to war. | Post #4
This ancient and mighty race used to rule the enchanted forest.10 feet tall, with amazing strength. However a couple of centuries ago these creatures were attacked by a group of pit demons. They were outnumbered 15 to 1 and had no idea what to do. Then the wisest of the treefolk, the ironroot treefolk turned to the elves for help. The war eventually was won after 57 years. The treefolk now owe the elves their lives and shall be in their service for eternity. | Votings may begin on entries on posts #2 to #4. Go! | My apologies to Brianna Sampson as I have wrongly tallied the votes on the voting phase of Vampires.
