Honor in group battles

AuthorHonor in group battles
Greetings!

Imagine in 3 vs 3 group battle your really blatant (although unintended) mistake ruins victory and turns this into defeat. The mistake is so obvious it does not even warrant discussion. If you wish to behave honorably in this situation what in your opinion should you do?

Do you apologize? If yes is saying 'sorry' in battle chat enough or should you do it in more formal way (eg. send PMs after battle)? If no, why?

If participants have at least level 5 do you return wear down cost of equipped artifacts for your team? If yes what part? Can your allies demand it or is it impolite or even wrong for them to do so?

If there is name calling in battle chat how do you treat it? Do you let that pass and forgive since everyone is rightfully angry or act as if it was "commonplace" insults?
I guess i'd apologize in chat. PM's seem a bit much, the only time i did that (and refunded artifacts) when i had to go AFK in a full-art vanguard during an event. It's not like losing is bad, you get a better fsp/xp ratio. :P

Demand... sure they can. They can demand you give them all your gold. But i'd just add them to the blocked list. It can only be really "wrong" if it's against the rules, so unless they're doing it in a very rude manner, there's nothing wrong with it.

Everyone plays the game however they want, and have their principles. Some think people MUST pay them half the gold if they help them in hunt; some would never pay. And there's nothing really wrong with either view.

Namecalling.. ignore it or make fun of the namecallers and make them cry.
exactly what Berserkas said.

people make mistakes, sh*t happens
so, won`t an excuse be enough for them? anyway they`d chill in a little while. :)
agree with #4
mistakes happen, maybe it was a missclick or the person didnt see that its gonna be a mistake
paying the dura lost is honestly just stupid, thats way too much, its not like artifacts are that expensive
demanding anything from the one that "ruined" the game? same as paying, no reason to do so, people that are demanding should realise its just a game ;)
a simple sorry is acceptable
if i made a mistake,
- then i apologize in chat, if chat is not possible (net crash) then p.m.

if other will make a mistake
- everyone can make a mistake, and everyone can learn from one's own mistakes, so we should be practical, and should let go.
A view from neutral standpoint is really appreciated. Thanks for replies.

this would lead to financial assist problems.

playing bad (for any reason) shouldnt be punished systematicaly.

In past, when my clan managed to have lots of GB's, we had some money back criteria - mainly covering conn-lost AFK issues. But in order NOT to over use that option, our clan was forced to remove some players who had notoriously bad connection.
I think a simple sorry, by chat, or if AFK, by pm should be enough. of course, if you think you have to repay their costs, nobody should make a problem of it. But it wouldn't be needed for me.
Apology in battlechat is enough

I refund art ONLY if we lost because I afked (I have a horrible internet connection)

Namecalling? Those people who get angry easily, usually chill easily
If I really made LOTS of mistakes and someone gets angry, I usually admit that I can be pretty stupid sometimes.
Of course it can go past the limits, then I say something back.
I often play LordsWM after work and my intellectual vigor is far from its peak. Errors like miscalculation happen but sometimes its even a mouse slip and clicking wrong place. I still have my old ball mouse since it is with me so long and occasionally it requires cleaning. Otherwise old rodent refuses to cooperate. Sometimes this gets revealed in not so fortunate moments ...

Hard to be angry at this though one may argue my mouse should get cleaning more often in such case. :)

Agreed AFK is a totally different issue.
depends if i like person doing mistakes i dont care. if have already bit fight on feeling i get to mad rage and kill everythink alone:p
In a big fight like the rebel one and a mistake happens it can be real annoying, but we are all playing a game. Anyone who gets annoyed enough that they feel the need to call names, get stressed, ask for money, should really have a good look at themselves.
