good day!
I`m sorry for this probably dumb question, but still wanted to make sure of this:
1) Is the poison considered as a damaging spell? (cause it`s elemental)
2) Does the piercing work for this spell?
thank you for the help! |
i dont think so |

cause it`s somehow strange.
poison is an Earth elemental spell and it can be enhanced by enchanting the jewellery and weakened by Earth resistance of armour.
on the other hand DEs cannot use the elemental call for this spell, which means - it`s not damaging/elemental. |
1. Poison spell description:
Poisons an enemy stack. The poisoned creatures take Earth elemental damage every time they get their turn. The spell does not affect Undead, Elemental and Mechanical creatures.
So the spell itself is not directly damaging, but it gives an "effect" to target stack (earth elemental damage every turn).
2. Never tried that myself, but I think no. Elemental call only works on spells that give direct damage. |

yes, maybe it`s counted among dark magic spells like some kind of "curse" with an "effect".
but if the damage is not dealt directly, why opponents with magic resistance (arts/echants/talents) suffer less from it? I can understand if unicorns get poisoned and the damage is less cause they have natural darkness resistance, but if players can protect themselves it would be logical to consider that the piercing (unique racial ability/arts) do the opposite. |
piercing magic only works for chaos spells |
