Yes they really do have a meaning, different name means different style and goal of quest.
Army : You have to defeat the enemy, but if you lose you have a second chance to continue from where you were in the previous try (meaning that the enemy remains with the same troops).
Invaders : Just a normal "defeat-the-enemy" quest, nothing special about it. You got only one try to beat it.
Vanguard : You must defeat the enemy, BUT you must protect your ally at any cost during the battle. If your ally dies, you lose the quest.
There is one more quest refering to faction enemy (if you forget about conspirators), the brigands quest. In brigands quest you have to travel to another location to escort something important and then you'll get ambushed, it's almost the same as invaders quest, but in this case you are surrounded, only the settlement differs. This quest used to have a chance on when you'll get ambushed or not (because there were times I traveled and noone ambushed me so I did the quest without any combat), unless that was a bug, now I think it's changed, it's been very long time since I travel during such a quest and managed to "avoid" an ambush :P
I guess you can understand the difference in the other MG quests (Monsert, raid). If I understood correctly you got confused about the quests naming a specific faction enemy. |
