Author | Merged hunts - how is the experience split? |
I just fought a tough combined hunt with an elf who went AFK after the first few turns. The majority of the monsters were therefore killed by myself, but in the end, I ended up with less experience than AFKer. How on earth is this possible?!

Because in case of afk you lose fsp not exp |
Afaik in a merged hunt every player gains xp for his "own" hunt, it doesn`t matter how much damage you have dealt compared to your partner. |
Well, I notice that his exp was exactly 9/8 that of yours. His level was 9; yours was 8. Could that be the reason? |
for Sarakash: My original hunt were 627 infected zombies, his hunt 17 efreeti(although the stacks were switched on the battlefield). I suppose I would have to earn much more experience should it be like you are saying.
for Geryon: This sounds very reasonable. Thank you for pointing this out. |
well, keep in mind 100% creatures killed for your "personal" hunt (zombies) will give you 0.5 fsp and you cannot win more than 0.5 fsp (except with special events) in a hunt.
If you fight together you will have 0.5 fsp eachother regardless the amount of troops killed, if the other is afk, you will have 0.5 fsp and he will have 0 fsp! Exp is based on the initial amount of each hunt!
Good luck |
Exp is based on the initial amount of each hunt!
No, that doesn't hold up. If you watch single hunts, 17 efreeti are worth less than 700 exp, and this guy got 1356. 627 infected zombies are worth almost 1900 exp. |
for Geryon:
Just Coincidence.
for krovak:
in a merged hunt every player gains xp for his "own" hunt, it doesn`t matter how much damage you have dealt compared to your partner.
Both players will get 0.5 fsp (because that's the reward in single hunts for each player).
In case of someone is AFK he always gets 0 fsp no matter what.
So, to sum up :
In mixed hunts everyone gets what he deserved if he was to face the hunt alone, EXCEPT that he/she can't get a record for this hunt, meaning if the difficulty is challenging, he/she won't gain a gold reward (neither silver nor bronze) and his/her next hunt of the same monster will have the same difficulty (creatures' counter doesn't raise in mixed hunts). |
In mixed hunts everyone gets what he deserved if he was to face the hunt alone
If that were the case, krovak, whose hunt was infected zombies, would have gotten 1881 exp, and his afk partner would have gotten 680 exp.
So everybody please stop saying that. |
#7 "Based on", merged means shared... So exp is shared regardless the amount killed! Keep in mind the most important in hunt is the FSP and Hunter point, not the EXP! |
his exp was exactly 9/8 that of yours. His level was 9; yours was 8 |

2 level 5's both got - 177 exp

lvl 5 - 348
lvl4 - 279
which equals 5/4 |
for Hallion91: That would be a very, very rare coincidence indeed. Besides that, the gold was also split in the ratio 8:9.
Taking into account the examples from merlin36, i think we are now 100% sure that both experience and gold are distributed among the hunters in a ratio corresponding to their combat levels. |
Hmmmm true indeed, it seems you're right, sorry !
In higher levels the xp difference is bigger in merged hunts (I remember my last one was about 300 xp for same leve) so that's why I thought it.
Thanks for the info ! |
Since he gone afk,you get that.Above players are right. |
both experience and gold are distributed among the hunters in a ratio corresponding to their combat levels.
Not the gold. That doesn't hold true in both of merlin's battles. |
Hmm, that's interesting.
In my battle the gold was divided
151 : 170, that is 8 : 9.006 (levels were 8 and 9)
In 2nd merlin's battle the gold was divided
348 : 279, that is 5 : 4.008 (levels were 5 and 4)
BUT
In 1nd merlin's battle the gold was divided
118 : 101, that is 5 : 4.279 (both levels were 5)
To me it looks like the gold is also split according to the respective levels, but some other factors seem to play role in certain cases. |
About the gold I think it's not divided.
Maybe the gold is dependent somehow on the level and it gives you the same fraction result. |
@17
You misread the results. In merlin's 2nd battle, the gold was divided 96 to 71. 348 and 279 were exp. |
for Geryon: Damn, you are right, I must have been tired or something. My apology. |
