The higher the rank, the more gold the owner has paid. It gives even faster health recovery, and in some cases, more inventory space (I think).
You get a higher rank by buying upgrades for the estate. |
It indicates how many annexes the estate has (i.e. how "good" it is).

| You can only buy it from the owner of the estate or if empire is hosting auctions. |
