"They have arrived, are we ready?" - Councilor Thutkra looked nervously round two huge heaps of placards resting heavily on the desk in the Court hall reception room. The desk was positioned nearly in the middle of the room, closer to the main entrance. There were only a few low rank officials and several dozens of guardsmen in the hall besides the Military councilor; but the animated hubbub that filled the reception room through the windows left ajar clearly indicated that a large crowd clustered in close proximity to the edifice.
In absence of Empire's most renown herald, and especially in lack of his ability to proclaim the Court's will into every Empire subject's ear, the Councilor was forced to resort to what would elsewhere be called classic way of announcing: barking and bill-posting in populated areas.
"Open up!" - the Barbarian commanded and immediately raised his voice trying to establish control over the part-time recruits. "Right! Please keep the queue. One creature at a time! Ten posters per right hand followed by five coins per left one!.."
Several hours and wrangles later, the placards were hung around the Grand Capital, East Bay and several nearby suburbs. Few to none were taken further than the East Bay inn by dishonest part-timers. The placards read:
"Lords and Ladies of the Empire!
Her Majesty the Empress has enjoined to announce the start of Fourth Minor Tournament on Empire lands. It will last from September, 4th till September, 14th. The tournament will occur on regular basis.
The winning party receives CG points in every tournament combat in addition to regular rewards. Note that you need to pass the guild trial in order to begin accruing guild points.
