Quick Notifications Box

AuthorQuick Notifications Box
The Idea is of having a "Notification Box" preferably in the home page that gives us information about the on going happenings in LWM.

Happenings such as . . .

~Distribution of Prizes
~Upcoming tournament/event updates
~Highest Enrolls
~Highest Gold Earner
~New Hunt Records
~Thief of the Day
~Thief Hunter of the Day
~Declaration of Roulette Leaders
~CG Leaders of the Day
~HG Leaders of the Day
~MG Leaders of the Day
~Highest Experience Gainer
~Highest Record Holder
~Smith of the Week
~Moderator of the Month
~Suggestion of the Month
~Question and Answer of the Month
~And What Not! (Etc.)

. . . an be there. This would even prevent innumerable questions that are constantly asked by new players in the Queries Forum.
There can even be prizes for the leaders. Such as for the Best Hunter you can have +10% of whatever HG Points earned in the day. (i.e if one earns 20 points, he/she would get 2 points in bonus)

Besides, it would encourage players to participate more in battles, crafting, enchanting etc. We would have more players doing PvP and MG and also Thieving. Hunters would become more competitive due to the fact that their names are now being showcased for every achievement.

And, it is totally not necessary for the admins to take charge of this. Any senior moderator can be given this ability. And these moderators can be also put in a special Clan of Notifiers or something similar.

There is a lot wider scope to this suggestion, and it might just become an integral part of LWM when implemented. It's just like the Bulletin Board of the best players people used to have in the medieval ages . . . !!! =P
+1
~Highest Tavern Card game Winner/Loser

only more work for admins.
Besides it will almost be the same people day in day out.
(e.g. joey_the_ripper with 21 enrolls a day for over two years straight)
+1 to many of the awards

Some should be left without:
Ie.
Highest Enrolls will go too people who enroll in "some" mysterious way on average 21 times years in a row

even if it would almost be the same people day in day out, it would be nice to know who those people are...

for Sven91:

at least the suggestion of post #4 sounded like a good idea to stimulate the tavern game, no? ;)

that is 1 out of 18
which makes it an overall -1

besides things like "moderator of the month" and "suggestion of the month" are subjective.

:) true...

besides things like "moderator of the month" and "suggestion of the month" are subjective.

also true... still liking the objective ones though...
It's good for keeping a positive flow within the players as well as the moderators.

Excluding that, we can also have voting for the best Sage, Mod, etc. And the winner gets 110% of the months salary.

I personally don't need that information at all, the new players are guided by the forum moderators and everything's fine :P

But it's a good idea if you exclude the fact that it will waste admins' time ...
