Often I find in a group battle or some such, I already know the move I will make, and there is no real chance that I will change my mind. Therefore I think you could speed these up by allowing a player to preset some moves for future creatures, out of the normal sequence. This information could then be sent to the server earlier. Then whenever the person holding up play moved, all your present creature moves could be done. Of course if a move became impossible it would not try and play it and instead you would have to commit that move or attack in teh normal sequence.
I think this would speed up some battles where there are clear moves (eg dual hunts) by some considerable margin, and on occassion in other group battles. |
There are no real sure moves, in PvP for example you even at early moves you have to take great care for not getting in the hard hitter attackrange of the enemy, and since there is always a different setup and therefor always a different move it's not possible to have such a function work without a big fail move.
By the way, why do you want to have your creatures move on their own? Aren't you playing this game to fight on your own?
The only way I could see such an option to work properly would be to give each player access to the next creatures move maybe two moves before it has its turn, so that the move is not totally a fail, often.
But such an option would take the slow thinking tacticians their time they need to make their moves. I for example check on every enemies melee stacks' attackrange, enemy shooters damage range, possible areaspell-effects of enemy and myself and my other own creatures move- attack-range before I finally decide on the move.
And thus I want to be able to see and evaluate all current and future enemy moves aswell. So, don't take the brainlaggy people the chance to think ;) |
Hmm before moving, think it carefully .. :) sometimes a mistake can bring luck, but sometimes it could bring disaster .. :) |

This would be complicated to implement.
There will be people complaining about how the new system lost them battles because they changed their mind about the moves they were planning to make. |
how about having preset army setup instead of having to set it up every time |
38. Allow presets for pre-combat settlement.
Already suggested and in consideration by admins. |
Re 6 this is not the same thing. I am suggesting that there should be the facility that you could, only if you wanted to, set the activity of a unit while other units were performing their actions, so as to speed things up. If it goes wrong only you are to blame. I agree there are never any sure fire moves in P v p, which is why I said it would be more useful in situations other than this where multiple people were involved. mOstly duel hunts but also certain other factors. Even in Pvp situations there are some moves that are going to happen for sure, mostly involving shooters or casters, or units blocking your archers that are going for retal etc.
Realistically it may be hard to implement and as with anything in this forum section the probability of it being read by admins and implemented are slim to say the least. Still I think it is a tiny augment that could benefit time, at teh cost of the occassional poor move. |
maybe then you could, during pre-combat settlement...chose whether you want to control a troop or let the AI control it, so like you could let the computer move your bows and casters |
but control your melee troops like an efk by yourself |
