The sprites are a low level unit and their wasp swarm is primarily useful at low levels.
They still maintain some usage even at higher levels. Disperse can be quite handy and they have no retaliation, good speed and high initiative. |

There are very few instances where that disperse comes in handy. Namely, PvP... where Sprites shouldn't really be anyway. Since it only decreases the turns a spell has effect, in larger hunts it is virtually useless (decrease confusion from 50 turns to 28? not very helpful).
But this is not about Disperse...
Lightning on Anchorites in a hunt is virtually useless... except it's one of two spells Elves can have to reset a ghost/apparitions miss/hit counter. That, and Earthen Spikes can be cast on friendly units, which I have had to use on a few occasions to knock a friendly out of Blindness.
Wasp Swarm cannot be used on undead, and having its sole purpose be damage isn't very useful at all. 42 damage from 74 Sprites is nothing. Sure, they are a low level unit... but even a knock at Basic Nature level isn't too overpowered and is at least useful to some extent. |

Sorry, you are not making much sense.
You are comparing a tier 4 creature to a tier 1 creature.
Tier 4 should be stronger and it is. |
| +1 IMO sprites are useless without knockback, they are usefull in some hunts. Also elves have only one creature with no relitation which is also not very powerfull :\ |
