You really have to watch out for the hotdog. He can hit up to 6 tiles at once, you are nowhere save :)

Everyone is in the same situation, so I don't know why should complain about this.

So the increase of fsp/battle and fsp/exp ratio does not impress you at all?

I disagree.
No more moving around the map for 30 turns, while killing 2 zombies per hit with the hero.

The tower has greatly spead up the fights, forcing the players to be more aggressive.
I think it's great!
light tower is good now you cant sit 15 turn convering that 1 mana or running with sprites/shrews around field much better thanks
Of course you're entitled to your opinion naapa92, and so am I. Wizards aren't allowed to use the "1 Extra Mana Talent" in Survival Tournaments ... and the best part of using Sprites in battle is their ability to hit and run. The Lightning Tower spoils that ability/strategy too.

My additional character is a Wizard and Gargoyles are supposed to be immune to Lightning, but of course, Gargs aren't immune to the Lightning Tower ... and the Orbs are next to useless, at least for Wizards! ;/

A majority of the time the Orb gives a 'Nothing Happens' to my Wizard and even when she got a few extra Mana Points, the battles are so shortened that my Wizard doesn't even come close to using all her Mana.

My opinion still stands: The Lightning Tower ruined the Survival Tournaments, it isn't your ally, it doesn't help YOU at all. It's only meant to decrease YOUR troops ... and that's really stupid.

The Lightning Tower takes a lot of fun out of the Survival Tournaments. It's not even worth it anymore to use up my best Artifacts, only to be fried by the Lightning Tower, my so-called ally! :(

The same happened with me, I've only played 2 or 3 times but in each game I got about 3 orbs and they all did nothing
since so many complain here, i suppose the admin should change chain lightning to lightning so that i wont hurt player troops

It is if you take the green one with arrows on it.

I've seen 3 of thsese orbs and 2 were green with arrows which I suppose are meant to increase the shots of the shooter and moving on them with a non-shooter wont be help.

I got a Red on with Swrds,Moved on it with gargoyles haveing 9 att (4 base + 5 rage) and Got +7 Attack which was a big big boost.

Orbs are pretty good.

About the Tower,I think it is pretty much still the same..

i think that is the entire point of the tower.
It forces you to kill waves fast. If it went back to normal lightning, you can use all those silly tacics again and spend a 100 turns to get your troops in perfect placement for the next wave.
Its good as it is now, but people just need to adjust their strategy and understand how the new system works.

Orbs need to be stood upon by the right type of stack. e.g. a non shooter standing on arrows will get no effect, as will a non-caster standing on mana or a full stack with no dead standing on the resurrect orb. etc.

I like the orbs but agree lightening tower did more damage to me than to enemy stacks. Plus you dont get any points for its kills.

as far as i know mana goes to the hero and not to the creature

(though not 100% sure since i havent tried this ST on .com)
I can't agree more to the introduction of the lightning tower, it really speeds up the battle, and those orbs, it's the same for everyone
light tower will rapid battle. thats good. dont like st battles on 30-40 min.

I think the lightning tower is good, though wish that since it is your "ally" you should gain exp and fsp due to its hits. I know this runs against the presidence set with allies in merc quests. For wizards surely a legitimate tactic is to hide and let it do some killing for you? But of course this provides no benefit really, forcing you to attack with puny gargs to try and get more exp before the lightning tower kills things and puts you onto the next level where they pawn you. Basically, no hope for a might wiz build in survival tourney, though of course that is true of many builds with other factions, I just like to avoid drinking myself into oblivion

Apart from dwarf, does .ru have other stuff? i.e. if there were to be a grand update 3 here, what could be introduced?

new items? was there any recruit balances? Talent balancces? unit balances? Anything else?

otherwise battle chat and ST updates are great.

So what's next? I really wish for unit recruit minibalances.. I find it impossible to kill tactics elf or expert holy knight in CG, especially with diamond upg at lvl 13.
