Author | Damage , expert offense + retribution |
Hello,
Morale 3 = 15% damage
+ 30% damage from expert offense.
How can I calculate that?
1. 30+15% = 45% total ?
2. Or 1.3*1.15 = 1.495 total ?
If the second variant in what party a rounding off? |
The second one is correct.
There won't be any rounding off - it will use that value to calculate the damage, and then round the damage.
Ex. 100 Hobgoblins with expert offense, battle fury, retribution (assume hobs attack is same as opponents defense):
Damage = 100 * 1.3 * 1.15 * 3 = 448.5 = 449 damage
(Base damage is 3-3.) |
Thanks, now you opened my eyes. Now I can refer to this theme. |
Formula for one-typed effects is 1-(1-x)*(1-y).
So, 1-(1-0,3)-(1-0,15)=0,475*100%=+ 47,5%.
In example of 100 hobs:
100*3+100*3*0,475=442,5 damage, if i am right. |

I think the formula you mention is applicable in this case. However, you made a mistake in your calculation. You should have gotten +40.5%. |

Thanks for correction. |
Just to be clear
This is the correct formula:
2. Or 1.3*1.15 = 1.495 total
what yuri said is only for defensive things like magic resistance and enchantments |

Thanks |
thanks sven for the correction...
Offence and retribution are the ended coef. So x * (1 + offence talent) and you add all other bonus like retribution / increase physiqcal damages (thief dagger) and so on...
In case of Enchantement, it work only on the same enchantement (for example earth : sword 10% earth + dagger 10% + bow 10% earth then you have exatly 27.1% of earth bonus!
Math the same with other enchantment type!
Good luck |
some are asking via pm how work 3 enchanted weapon bonus, so let me add this then :
Let's say you have :
Sword A10E10F10W10
Dagger A9E9F9W9
BOW A11E11F11W11
Now you can math each elemental bonus :
air bonus = 1 - ((1-sword air bonus) * (1-dagger air bonus) * (1-bow air bonus)= 1 - ((1-0.1)*(1-0.09)*(1-0.11) = 27.11%
Same for other element bonus and i let you change the element bonus. |
Oh , yes , I thought that you mean on one for example dagger all this modifications.
That It works commutative I knew from this topic.
