Not sure why this happens, but when I use dispersion to rid of casts from genies, it only partially dismisses even though I use Expert Holy Magic. Can someone explain please?

According to https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=31,
the effect is calculated as:
E=Base efficiency-([Caster SP]-[Disperser SP])*3
where SP is the Lord's Spell power or creature tier.
In case of creatures, the tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones.
Base efficiency = 100% (Expert Holy magic)
Caster SP = 6 (upgraded tier 5 creatire)
Disperser SP = 3 (your Spell Power),
So, your dispersion effect = 100% - ((6-3)*3)% = 91% |
But he is right, even that is not what happens.
Spells time before disperse: ~47.8
Spells time after disperse: ~7.2
So he is dispersing: (47.8 - 7.2) / 47.8 =~ 0.85 = 85%
Looks like his hero's SP is not taken into consideration and creature's tier is not upgraded.
But that would need some testing to verify. |
Thanks guys. SO basically I need the same number of spell power as the caster to fully disperse... which would be 6 in this case? |

for TigerClaw:
yes, it looks like a bug. Maybe some other multiplier is used (5 instead of 3) |
senior genie has expert mastery in random dark cast; adv mastery in random holy cast :s |
